Win over Westside puts 'Dogs at 14-1

Thomson High School’s boys basketball team improved its record to 14-1 Friday with a 66-57 victory at Westside.

Dwayne Williams led the Bulldogs in scoring with 17 points. Jonathan Atkins and Ronkeem Sallywhite each had 16. Biquavious Sturgis had 14 points. Ant Moss added two and Jamontae Beard added one. Westside’s Ronald Campbell led all scorers with 20 points, including five 3-pointers.

Thomson fell behind 16-12 in the first quarter but tied the score at 30 at the half. Thomson outscored Westside 23-10 in the third quarter, and then was outscored 19-14 in the fourth quarter.

The boys were back in action Tuesday at Josey. They return to the home floor Friday to take on Grovetown.
