Norris Elementary School fourth-graders in Carol Harris and Sarah Alfriend’s math class recently used dice to play a different kind of game.
Students were asked to roll the dice, using the score as the numerator in a fraction. Partners did the same, then pupils compared fractions and a point was awarded to the student whose fraction was greater in value.
Learners were also asked to add the fractions and to convert improper fractions to mixed numbers.
