Special Norris Elementary School teacher Nicole Wood leads a project as students Corbin Seek (from left), Makayla Casey, Addison Grzybowski and A'Nayshia Collins observe. Wood led the activity in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Wood showed three different colored eggs and the class discussed how the eggs look different on the outside. Then, she cracked the eggs and the class discussed how even though the eggs looked different on the outside they all look the same on the inside. The class then compared the eggs to people. Students discussed how everyone is different on the outside, but they are all the same on the inside.
