MR. DON ANSLEY SR.
AUGUSTA — Don Ansley Sr., 81, husband of 63 years to Melbra Ansley, entered into rest Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Pastor Tom Kalliokski officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Ansley, son of the late Thurston P. and Edna Easley Ansley, was born in McDuffie County. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and Fleming Masonic Lodge. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Peel (Gary), and Jean Fuller (Alvin Redd); his son, Don Ansley Jr., (Patricia); his grandchildren, Gary Peel Jr, Craig Peel, Michael Peel, Mary Ellen Butler, Susan Newsome, Ricky Fuller, Joshua Ansley, and Kayla Ansley; and nine great-grandchildren, his sisters, Juanita Joyner and Brenda Leverett both of Augusta. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Gary Peel Jr, Craig Peel, Michael Peel, Ricky Fuller and Joshua Ansley, and his great-grandson, Chase Newsome.

MR. WILLIAM MATTHEW DUCKWORTH
THOMSON — A funeral service for Mr. William Matthew Duckworth, 84, of Thomson, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Norwood, with pastor the Rev. Andera Sires as eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.

MR. WILLIAM T. FOSTER
BEECH ISLAND, S.C. — A funeral service for Mr. William T. Foster, 95, of Beech Island, S.C., who entered into rest Feb. 22, 2012, was conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday from Posey Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Wade Everett and the Rev. John Allen Arnett officiated. Interment was in Pineview Memorial Park with veterans honors.
Mr. Foster was a native of Chesnee, S.C., having made Beech Island his home for the past 65 years. He was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the retired owner of Early Bird Egg Farm. Mr. Foster was 1939 graduate of Clemson University.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Virginia Scott Foster; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Gloria Foster, North Augusta, and Tommy and Ellen Foster, Thomson; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jody Griffith, Beech Island; two brothers, Randall Foster, Winnsboro, S.C., and Harold Foster, Spartanburg, S.C.; a sister, Frances Collins, Spartanburg, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matthew Fulgham, Adam Fulgham, Jim Foster, Lee Foster, Craig Foster, Will Griffith, Bryant Bradley and Kenny Mangold.

THE REV. L.H. FOWLER
Retired Minister
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — The Rev. L.H. Fowler, 91, widower of Mrs. Mildred Junkin Fowler, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, in the UniHealth Post Acute Care of North Augusta.
A funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, in the Immanuel Baptist Church in North Augusta, with Rev. Jimmy Coyle and Rev. Kenneth Garvin officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, S.C. ,with military honors.
The Rev. Fowler was a native of Tigerville, S.C. He was a Navy veteran of Word War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. He was a retired Baptist minister, having served at the Immanuel Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Langley, and Washington Heights Baptist in Thomson. He also served as secretary for the Kilpatrick Baptist Association for many years.
Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Ann F. Dick, Summerville, S.C.; his three sons, James H. Fowler, Stony Point, N.C.; Loyd B. (Betty) Fowler, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Floyd R. (Shirley) Fowler, Gurnee, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be past and present ministers from the Kilpatrick Association. Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home, Thomson. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.

MRS. EMMA WILKINS HOBBS
HEPHZIBAH, Ga. — A funeral service for Mrs. Emma Wilkins Hobbs, 100, of Hephzibah, was held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at The United House Of Prayer For All People, Dearing, with pastor Elder David McCord, eulogist, and Elder Wallace Brooks, presiding. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
Survivors include four children, a loving and devoted son, Howard (Valerie) Hobbs, John Hobbs, Betty Mims, all of Hephzibah, and Annie Allen, Thomson; grandchildren, Robert (Vernester) Hobbs, Albert (Jackee) Hobbs, John Hobbs Jr., John W. Hobbs, James Allen, Mobley (Michelle) Hobbs, Abdul Hunter, Connie (Emanuel) Cunningham, Pamela D. Hobbs, Michelle Mims, all of Augusta; Ahmed Hill, Hephzibah; and Pearl (Elder Wallace) Brooks, Lithonia, Ga.; a special friend, Caroline Poe; a host of additional family members of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

LINCOLNTON, Ga. — Mr. Everette Eddie Jones, 64 of Lincolnton, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at the residence of his son.
Mr. Jones, son of the late Ben Jones and Louise Dill Thurmond, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He was a retired drywall worker and truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his son, Everette Eddie Jones Jr.
Survivors include: Patricia Farmer, companion; sons, Charles D. Jones, Gaston, N.C., Freddie E. Jones, and wife, Dana, of Lincolnton, and Franklin Jones, Lincolnton; daughter, Courtney Black, Lincolnton; grandchildren Chandler Jones, Chloe Jones, Daniel E. Jones and Linda Ann Knight; sister, Martha Ann Haney and husband, Sam, of Thomson; and brother, Horace Jones and wife, Lucille, of Harlem.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Jones Chapel with the Rev. Mike Blackwell officiating. Interment followed in Lincolnton City Cemetery.

MRS. ZAIDA ROLLINS MORRIS
APPLING, Ga. — Mrs. Zaida Rollins Morris, 90, entered into rest Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Doctors Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Curry B. Morris.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Feb. 23, 2012, at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jeff Meeks officiating.
Survivors include her sister, Lois R. Miller, of South Bound Brook, N.J.; special nieces, Angela K. Fox and Paula K. McNair, both of Appling; and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth C. Morris, and daughter, Susan M. Morris.

MR. RAY COLEMAN THIGPEN
GROVETOWN — Mr. Ray Coleman Thigpen, 84, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the New Life Church of God with Pastor Wallace Davis officiating. Burial was in the Waldens Cemetery in Avera, Ga.
Mr. Thigpen was a native of Jefferson County, but lived in Grovetown for many years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of New Life Church of God.
Mr. Thigpen is survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, his two sister-in-laws, Louis Thigpen, Louisville, and Lorene Markins, Gibson; and his special friend, Donna Sexton, Grovetown. The family would also like to say thank you to Hospice Care of America.
His nephews served as pallbearers.
Friends were received at the residence of Meloney and Dale Cox and at the Curtis Funeral Home, Thomson, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.
