• A fight between two women Sunday resulted in one receiving several cuts to the face and another arrested on assault charges.
Officers responded to a call at a residence on Anderson Avenue and found the 33-year-old victim bleeding and holding a rag to her head, according to a Thomson Police Department incident report.
The victim told officers that she and Tiffany McGee, 23, of the 300 block of Anderson Avenue, were fighting when McGee grabbed an eyebrow archer and cut her in the face.
McGee told police the woman had been bothering her for the past few months and had followed her and a friend home from a convenience store Sunday. She said the woman grabbed her by the arm and they fought. McGee said she used the eyebrow archer in self-defense.
McGhee is charged with aggravated assault. The other woman was taken to the Augusta VA Medical Center for treatment.

On March 12, firefighters returned to the property in response to a call from a neighbor with concerns that the fire was encroaching on his land. Firefighters put out the fire along the property line. The property owner had a permit for a controlled burn.
