Elections Director Kelvin Williams issued reminders this week to McDuffie County voters.

The Super Tuesday presidential primary election is Tuesday. Voting hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Polling places have not changed since the last county election.

In-person advance voting continues daily through Friday. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the old courthouse building, 337 Main St.

The presidential nomination is the only question on the ballots. Williams said county elections are in July and the presidential and other contests will be decided in November.

Voters must declare a party to vote in the primary. The names on the Republican ballot are Michele Bachman, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Buddy Roemer, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum. The only name on the Democratic ballot is Barack Obama.

Questions should be directed to Williams’ office, at (706) 595-2105.
