Headliners for the 19th annual Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival represent important segments of Southern American music, according to The Activities Council of Thomson Inc. That organization continues to refine the lineup for the May 19 festival in McDuffie County.
Delbert McClinton has recorded more than 20 albums and has won two Grammies. He recorded Good Man, Good Woman with Bonnie Raitt.
Blues legend James Cotton is recognized as one of the greatest blues harmonica players. He has been refining his Chicago style since the 1950s.
Also included are the acoustic country blues of Guy Davis, the Southern soul of the Randall Bramblett and Geoff Achison Band and locally popular Mama Says.
