The McDuffie County Fire Service responded to a small brush fire at 2104 Sterling Wells Road at 5:47 p.m. Monday.
The fire occurred in a wooded area on property owned by Brian Kent. One engine and nine fire personnel responded to the call, according to an incident report.
Upon arrival, the fire crew found a brush fire less than 1 acre in size. A brush truck was requested, and firefighters used approximately 500 gallons of water to extinguish the blaze.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and it caused no damage to buildings or property.
The cause of the fire is unknown, according to the report.
