Norris Elementary School recently held its annual Spring Scholastic Book Fair in the media center. The theme for this year was Book Fair Luau. There were a variety of books to appeal to students from beginning novels, science-based books, photo-rich books, and even cookbooks.

Scholastic Book Fairs require schools to have a sales goal, and Norris Elementary School surpassed its goal, earning funds to purchase new books for the school’s media center. As the collection is weeded, the media center will replace books and purchase newer titles.

When the media specialist Tammy Story was asked which books were most popular, she stated, “Definitely A Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”

The public was invited to stop by and check out the selection. Several parents took advantage of this opportunity to browse the selections before purchasing them for their children. Norris Elementary would like to thank the parents and children of Norris and the community for their support of the book fair.
