GARTH SNOW/STAFF Thomson Kiwanis Club members Jay Poston (left) and Donna Kerr (right) accept honors from District 7 Lt. Gov. Johnnie G. Dekle. Thomson's club received the outstanding club designation, the only such honor among the six clubs in the district. Poston, who was club president during the 2011 club year, accepted the award Monday at The Thomson Depot. Poston also received an award as outstanding president. Kerr was honored as outstanding secretary. She has held that post for two years.
