FUNDRAISER FOR FIREFIGHTER

SENIOR OF YEAR

DETAILS: The public is asked to help choose the senior citizen of the year for 2012. A candidate must be a resident of McDuffie County, 70-plus years of age, who has performed (or is performing) worthwhile deeds and who has made (or is making) a positive difference in McDuffie County. MORE INFO: There has been a date change for pre-K and kindergarten registration for the 2012-2013 school year. Registration for both pre-K and kindergarten will be held April 9-13. A new date for the pre-K lottery will be announced.

 

HIGH SCHOOL WRITING TEST

DETAILS: The Georgia High School Writing Test continues to be a requirement for all students seeking to earn a high school diploma from the state of Georgia. Students who have finished coursework but who still need to take and pass the test should call the school at (706) 986-4200 before Tuesday, Feb. 21, to register for this test.
