The conference begins Friday – 7 to 9 p.m. – with a Sweet Blessings food tasting fellowship, a worship service and several guest speakers. Activities resume Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with two worship sessions and a series of breakout sessions. The topics range from biblical lessons to basic car maintenance and self-defense. VOLUNTEER TRAINING

DETAILS: This training is for advocates for victims of sexual assault, children and adults, who are treated at McDuffie Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hospital or Burke County Medical Center. Individuals from all surrounding counties are eligible to participate. Volunteers must be at least 18, submit to a background check and have a phone and transportation.
